this is the first digital story i ever made, at a Center for Digital Storytelling workshop in the spring of 2009. i've learned a lot since then, but i'll never change it. it is what it is. the process of writing the script was transformational for me. i had never thought about the luxury of some kinds of fears. the subtext that i had a brain tumor at the time i made this, and what that was about to do to my entire family, is not lost on me. but at the time, i had the luxury of not knowing about any of that.
