The 2020 Project is her brainchild.

Kriste lives in Corvallis, Oregon. She taught elementary school for 12ish years until she had a stroke due to complications during brain surgery to remove a benign brain tumor diagnosed in july 2009. She has used digital storytelling as a way of processing what has happened, and is happening, to her. She was trained in digital storytelling, fortunately before her health trauma, by the Center for Digital Storytelling in Berkeley CA.
